We are spoiled for choice when it comes to great restaurants in the South Kensington area, and The Good Earth is one of our firm favourites.  Book a table today.

We chatted to owner Chris Tan to find out a bit more about the business and what makes them so popular. Chris even let us in on a very exciting new menu addition coming soon… scroll down to find out more!

Who are you?
We are The Good Earth, we opened in 1983, which was the fourth restaurant in our group at the time. The first restaurant was opened in Kings Road, Chelsea in 1979, today there are four restaurants and four take away outlets in and around London. In Brompton Road, we have 40 members of staff and our restaurant Manager is Steven who has been with us over 12 years.

Where can we find you?

We are located in Brompton Road, roughly opposite the Brompton Oratory Church,

What do you do?

We have been serving Cantonese & Sichuan food for over 30 years on a consistent level, which is borne out of the length of time we have been in business. We started in 1983 and we have other branches in Esher, Mill Hill and Bellevue Road, Wandsworth. We also operate only Take Away & delivery service in Wimbledon, Richmond, West Hampstead and Battersea.

What makes you stand out?

We feel customers frequent our business, due to the constant level of cooking, freshness and standard of service, that we have maintained over a 30 year period.

What’s coming up?
We will be initiating a small Dim Sum Menu, which will operate alongside our Lunch menu, where you can order soup noodle dishes or a variety of main course dishes with rice, as a quick luncheon menu and a very competitive price.
